Like what's being said in the title I have no signal to my monitor even though I've changed hdmi cords 4 times with different ones and even tried putting my old card in with DVI cable and it still didn't work which confused me. ALL the fans turn on (CPU, GPU, and case fans) my mic has power and my external hard drive but my keyboard and mouse aren't lit up either.

Specs:
Core i5 10400F
3060 12gb
32gb ram 3000mhz XRS gammix 4x8
700W PSU Thermaltake Smart 80 Plus
MSI B550M motherboard

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

550W PSU ( I have no idea the actual model of these parts )
You will need to take off the side panels to your case and look for the sticker on the side of the PSU, then mention what the make and model of the unit is(from the sticker), we'll also need to know the age of the PSU.

The PSU isn't any older than a year as I recently bought it in 2022 and I can't simply just open the case to look at the sticker 'cos my case has a little cover over the PSU and I can't see it at all on the sides, just top and bottom, so I'd have to unscrew the whole thing and take it out to see it.

You'll need to find the answer to this question one way or another. This is crucial information and it's quite shocking that you upgraded your GPU without finding out this information. It's a bit like a doctor performing a blood transfusion without knowing the patient's blood type.
All i did was ask google if my cpu The I5 10400F and 3060 were fine with a 550W PSU and it said it should be good? And the two are a pretty good pair also. But I'll check

Okay so big news, it's actually a 700W Thermaltake Smart 80 Plus

Also to note:

Headphones don't make any noise when unplugging anything, or plugging it back in. My monitor detects when I unplug the HDMI and plug it in but it says no signal when it turns on then goes back off.

Unfortunately, that's an absolutely awful PSU. It's not even a real 700W PSU in any modern sense. There's a reason that it's basically in the "Replace Immediately" tier of any PSU tier list. It's extremely low quality filled with the cheapest parts imaginable.

It's impossible to diagnose further until the junk PSU is out of the mix; even if not the direct cause of the problem, it's a massive issue that can cause short-term and long-term problems. You basically have two choices:

1. Replace the PSU with an actually appropriate one and cross your fingers that the PSU didn't destroy the 3060.

2. Bring your PC to a competent shop and let them sort out what's dead. And still replace the PSU.

What would you recommend as I don't really need that high watt of a PSU, my setup is not high end whatsoever. I do not want to be paying a lot on this either. Any support would be appreciated.

Once you moved up to a 3060, really cheaping out on the PSU stopped being a thing. I prefer not spending money, too, but sometimes you have to because things need to be done properly or you risk spending even more money later. Depending on the condition of the 3060, your cheap Thermaltake may have already been the cost of several good PSU.

Once you have an acceptable PSU, only then can you really start diagnosing things that are going on. One of the many problems with a junk-tier PSU is that even if nothing obviously bad has happened, as soon as you run into problems that can quite easily be the PSU, you have to remove the PSU from the equation anyway, so you may as well get something of reasonable quality in the first place.

Lord, that's even worse.

I literally linked you one of the most used tier lists with dozens of possibilities and found the cheapest Tier A/Tier B list at the time time that was suitable for this GPU.

The purchase of a car requires the car insurance. The purchase of a house requires maintenance on the house. The purchase of a quality GPU requires a power supply of at least decent quality.

If you cannot get a PSU of any quality, then return the 3060 while you're still in return window and stick to your 1050 Ti and prevent yourself from risking losing $300-$400. That is, assuming you haven't already by destroying the 3060.

I took out 2 sticks of ram 1 and 3 and proceeded to boot like I would and It launched. But since I reset the bios it wouldn't boot properly so I had to disable secure boot and enable csm support and I was ok to boot then after I had to reinstall the ram and I'm ok now

I am canceling the purchase of the other PSU. If any of you could help me on why my pc won't boot without csm support on and secure boot off that would also be greatly appreciated. Thank you all and have a good night

Oh and also I am only 15, so I'm not exactly tech savvy and don't have money laying around that's why I was trying to cheap out. Sorry for looking like an idiot.
