Question I recently upgraded my ram and my screen has started freezing and flickers/distorts

I upgraded the Ram on my PC from 1x4GB to a new set of 2x4GB patriot ram 1600. This has started happening. Used to happen every couple hours but it is now happening more and more often. Anyone have any idea what could have gone wrong?

I was running a graphics test during the picture below, also has happened while running chrome or autocad.

I ran the Windows Memory Diagnostics, Dells own trouble shooters and tests, nothing seems to find anything wrong. I just put back the old memory sticks and it runs better (slow like before but doesn't freeze). I am thinking it may be defective ram.
