i got that i7 965ee and i wish i got a 920. unless intel has a surprise up their sleeves for some serious overclocking goodies. i have the 965 rigged up to an LQ1000 water cooling and i cant comfortable get past 4.2ghz.... oh well !!!

im waiting for my gtx 295 sli tomoro. anyone knows the danger in running dual channel in a p6t... the ocz platinum 1333ghz to b precise

I can understand your buyers remorse. The 965 is certainly not worth $700 more than the 920. I've personally seen a 920 stable at 4.2GHz. I know that doesn't help you feel better, but next time you'll do more research, I bet. :(

All the current i7 chips have about the same overclocking limit, so the 920 is the only chip worth buying IMO.

(edit: @realz88)^very supportive. I don't know what to tell ya, I assume you can't return it now that you've OC'd it. What temps are you getting at 4.2ghz?

ive downclocked it back cos im using dual channel ram frm my previous config pending the arrival of my tri channel ones. u know the ram is rated low voltage 1.65v max and dual channel ocz in der r @ 1.5 @ d mo but rated 1.8, so dont wanna fry em quick. im using water cooling and i just noticed wen i leave my windows open @ 3.2ghz, it cools down by about 10oC. but on full load, they never get past 53oC mark @ 3.2 tho....ill be getting my tri channel kits tomorro, so ill crank up d juice !!!
