Hi guys,
I just brought a new SSD and tried to clone my original SSD onto it but it didn't work, So then I just installed a fresh windows 10 onto the new SSD and it says I need to activate, I fixed the old SSD which is also saying I need to activate, I tried activating windows on the new SSD with my Product key but I get an error. So now I haven't got a copy of windows any more. Do I just have to bite the bullet and buy a new windows 10 code?
Thanks.

Windows 10 on old SSD was an upgrade from windows 7,8?
Did you install same version on new SSD as was on the old SSD (Pro or regular)?
Did you change any other hardware than SSD? Motherboard perhaps? Updated motherboard BIOS?
Why did the cloning fail?

If windows on the old SSD has deactivated and you have not changed any other hardware, then you will need to contact your regional microsoft support by phone.

Where did this Win 10 come from?
What license did you use to try the activation?
