Hi everyone.

My PC was not booting anymore and gave me 5 beeps when trying to start up. I tracked the beep code to cmos battery/CPU failure. I replaced the cmos battery and now my computer is able to boot again.

My problem is that when it boots windows tries to diagnose problems and fix them but it fails and asks me to shut down or try other options, if I tell it to continue to windows it will hit a BSOD and the error is boot device inaccessible.

I have tried resetting bios to default but that did not do anything. I'm certain that I need to configure my bios but I dont know how to do it.

Edit: I saw someone mention changing the SATA port setting mine was defaulting to AHCI but I changed it to IDE and it works now.
