I went onto the ASUS website to download driver utilities and bioware https://www.asus.com/supportonly/gl702vs/helpdesk_download/ and it gives me two options: save the download, which I did, and then to use firefox to open the file, which I try to do but it gives me a blank screen when I try to open it

What is occurring and how do I get these downloads onto my system? Is there an external software I need to have downloaded to upload these files onto my system?

You should locate the file on your drive which can be found in:
C drive>Users>Night>Downloads, once there, you should see the BIOS file.

BTW, you will need to have the BIOS file on a USB drive's root directory. Just out of curiosity, are you sure you're in need of a BIOS file? Might want to see what your current BIOS version is by going into BIOS or to use CPU-Z.

There's several things I'm in need of, I just recently reinstalled Windows on my SSD. I'm assuming that by doing so I wiped most of the things that this computer came preloaded from the factory with. My keyboard doesn't even light up anymore.

It's a gaming PC, ASUS ROG gl702VS. There's a special ROG key that has fan control speeds and other information related to my cores and whatnot that isn't even installed.
