[SOLVED] I restarted my computer and it's just a black screen with a command prompt that shows system32

I installed Avast anti-virus and scanned for viruses. I did a restart, and after logging in, I am met with a black screen with a small command prompt in the corner of the monitor that reads C:\WINDOWS\system32>. I could not find anything online that describes the same issue. Thank you for reading.

Thank you for your reply. It did find something. I believe it may have been a Trojan. Avast said to restart to get rid of it. I am able to get into safe mode, but the same problem happens. I installed from the official website.

I don't. It's a laptop that I purchased with windows pre-installed.
