I scan photos &cannot find them, Computer is Dell

Grandmother needs help .I scan my photos on an HP deskjet 2340. After scanning I can never find them I have a new Dell computer and it is Windows Vista. Please help. Thanks all.

They are usually saved to My Pictures (in my Documents folder). If they are not there go to Start / Search-for files and folders, and type in the search box *.jpeg Make sure you tick search all computer'C'. The list it finds will be all the pictures on your hard drive ,together with the place on your hard disc where they are. *.bmp will find bitmap pictures, but this format is not used very often.
