Question I spent $700 on a new pc, installed everything and every time I plug the power cord in, it keeps on turning on and of by itself

The specs r core i3 quad 3.7 ghrz gtx 1060 6gbs, ASRock fatality b240 gaming k4, 755 watt psu, 16 gb ram 1 stick

By display, I mean computer monitor. What is the model number for it.

Before you tried connecting the monitor to your motherboard, did you actually remove the graphics card? If not, remove it. reset CMOS (see your motherboard manual section 2-5). This resets BIOS to the default settings and re-enables the on-board graphics. Then connect your monitor to the motherboard output and power up. Do you still not get an image on your monitor?

I think i figured out why there is no video, when I bought a cpu, I checked to see if only the size would fit, but apparently the motherboard only supports up to a 7th gen intel processor, and the cpu I bought as an 8th gen. Is that why there is no video? If so, thank you for bearing with me and answering my questions!
