Ok so I did a dumb thing and drank too much tequila. I woke up on my floor in the morning and noticed my keyboard lights were turning off and on when trying to press a key and my PC thought it was trying to input keys (specifically the keys on the number pad).
It appears to be localized to just the right side (keypad). I took it all apart. Rinsed it all off. I'm not sure if I have to get distilled water - I know that's the best thing to do right now but I am starting with this.
Now, on the plastic "circuit" layer that is under the keys near where the spill was, I notice this browning around where the keys are pressed, almost as if it looks a little burnt. I can provide a screenshot.
But I am not sure if it will still work. Thoughts on the 'browning'? Is that a definite sign that its messed up or could it still possibly work? Its drying right now. Thinking of putting it in a bag of rice to speed it up.
Good thing I had my 15 year old dell keyboard. Its tiring on the fingers but man this thing has lasted through a lot of spills and its still kickin'.
