Anyone got any info on why when I’ve swapped from my HDD to SSD my frames have dropped?

And I’m getting frame tear as well. All my computer settings are the same, I’ve checked everything, bios updates drivers the whole lot.

My system is
5900x
7900 xtx
32gb ram
1000psu
I have done a bench test and it comes back saying all the components are fine

I’m just so confused on why it’s dropped so much fps and now it stutters when it never use to ?

What is the make, model of the SSD ?
Was it a new SSD or a used one ?
What bench test did you run ?
Is the SSD the primary system drive or a secondary gaming drive ?
Have you run CrystalDiskInfo, what is the result ?
Have you run CrystalDiskMark, what is the result (post results) ?
What Motherboard make, model ?
Run UserBenchmark and post a link to the results

SSD is

Crucial P3 Plus 2TB M.2 PCIe Gen4 NVMe Internal SSD - Up to 5000MB/s - CT2000P3PSSD

The SSD is the primary
I have ran userbench and no issues at all
Motherboard is ASUS b550-a

I will do the crystal disk

I guess it couldn't be as simple as some Windows/ Adrenaline setting like vsync or power. Hmm m2 ssd shouldn't be causing issues but just to try, move m2 to the second slot. You have multiple?. Just to rule out anything funky from first slot. Shouldn't need to reinstall Windows, I've moved m2 ssds on Intel and didn't need to reinstall.

i have all the same Adrenaline settings and done

If moving m2 improves then do email your motherboard manufacturer describing drive details and bios revision, gpu, full system specs. Hopefully helps them improving bios support in future updates.

Moving ssd would rely on motherboard chipset rather than cpu. We'll see if that makes a difference.

The P3 PLUS SSD's AREN'T the most RELIABLE AND MANY OF THEM HAVE ISSUES AND FAIL. I woulD lean more towards it'S the DRIVE. My son had one in HIS RYZEN SETUP and had BAD FREEZES DURING GAMING. I replaced it with a 980 pro and now no issues.
