I talk around 3 hours a day on skype video calling.. how much data i must be consuming on my laptop?

Turn on data logging on your router, you can check in there after a bit of use.

Use this, its free and simple and very good, than start speed meter(right click from taskbar icon), it also show curent speed and how much data have been used.
