I think i broke my cpu

So i tried to put on my cpu cooler so it didnt fit, i called my dad to tell him but he somehow put the first "layer" on, i got surprised and continued to put on the cpu(faced up) theres a lock where you have to put it on the first layer but it didnt reach so my dad just pushed down hard(on the cooler which means on the cpu) and somehow did it. On the packaging it says lga1151(which is my cpu socket) but theres other variants too. But anyways it said lga1151 writtin with a bunch of cpu socket types so i thought i was ok, is my cpu alright?

It's simple. Turn on the system and see if it boots.
If it works, it's obviously alright.

did you allign the little white triangle on the CPU to the one on the motherboard?
also pushing hard on a CPU isnt good for it. test it by trying to POST and if it doesnt you're stuffed
