I think I broke my LED lights or something...

So, I have some LED's installed in the front of my case. (It's a Syber Vapor) and they have a button that changes their color and such.

Well I've been screwing around in the case dealing with GPU overheating issues, trying to improve airflow and all that...

Now my LEDs won't turn on at all...

After they wouldn't turn on I took the opportunity to try to reconnect EVERYTHING to the motherboard and PSU and zip tie things for better cable management... But the LEDs won't turn on.

I do not know a single thing about LED lights, and simply plugged those back in how they originally were, making sure they were snug and completely plugged in. To be clear, I did this AFTER they already stopped turning on.

Please help me lol, the front of my computer is now a soulless black void of despair...

I checked, double-checked, and triple checked... but only based off what I found when I opened the case after the LEDs already stopped working.

Like I said, I don't know the first thing about LEDs, so if something is amiss outside of a cable not being plugged in... I don't know what to look for 🙁

Well either they are broken , maybe they got shorted when you trying to fix your overheating issue somehow, or for whatever reason they are not getting power. What are you using to power them? Molex from the psu? If you don't know take a picture of where the LED's plug in to receive power and post it.

It's a very small molex coming off of where the case fan plugs in. Then to a small circuit board which then plugs into the motherboard in a few places, as well as into the case's front where the LEDs are.

I'll take a picture when I get home later tonight.

Did you fix yours? I got a new Syber Vapor and the LED works but they are stuck at a purple color. The 'color' button on the side of the case does nothing.

I haven't. I actually forgot about this. I just sort of... gave up on the LED since it wasn't a big deal to me. Did you get yours fixed by chance?

I'm thinking of dropping this crap-tastic case... I've had to do so many things to modify it and I'm still overheating just watching damn hulu and netflix of all things... maybe downgrade my video card to. Pisses me off lol

Fixed mine... When I added RAM to the computer I noticed that the LED switch wasn't hooked up! I plugged it into the motherboard and that resolved the issue.

I haven't had issues with overheating... Although I mostly just use the computer for daily stuff (web surfing, email) and some non-resource intensive gaming. I thought the video card was supposed to be pretty good for a cheaper system.

Well the video card in mine is an AMD R9 390X, and of all things the Gigabyte G1 version which (as i've found) is basically the hottest card you can buy. Let alone when it's stuck in a case like this.

I'm thinking of switching to an Nvidia GTX 1060, but the mini version that's made for ITX builds.
