Hello....so i was doing dumb things again, and one of the huge ones was i was trying to plug my car stereo into the ac power and when i had the power strip plugged in,i had the wires to the radio around the ac power plug i was going to use.But when i plugged it in,it0 "shorted",made a spark, and now just the living room doesn't have power.I would really like to fix this without having to contact anyone,i checked the breaker and none of them were turned off. What should i do?

Check the breaker again. Sometimes it trips but doesn't flip to the Off position; it'll be slightly offset from the full ON position. Manually move it to Off, then back to On. What Wolfshadow wrote only applies if the circuit breaker really didn't trip. In that case you've probably damaged the wiring and it needs to be repaired by a licensed electrician to prevent a fire.

And car stereos use 12V DC, while your wall socket provides 110V AC. It never would've worked, and your car stereo is probably fried. To plug DC equipment into an AC socket, you need an AC to DC transformer. That's what all those wall warts are.

Own up to your mistake.
Contact your landlord immediately and explain the situation to them. They will need to hire an electrician to come and check the entire building for shorts and possibly damaged wiring.

I would note that lives may be in danger here.
