i think i fried my gpu

so i have a evga 1060 ssc 6gb, and i had a dvi to hdmi on it. i went to plugin the hdmi to the living room tv and it poped really loud and i looked at my screens they where black and my gpu was off no lights or fans on. i restarted my pc like 3 times... nothing i took it out and put my old 950 card in and it worked fine is there anything i can do? i think i have fried it and idk how or why the hdmi would do that.????

maybe try to RMA if there is a warranty left. doesnt sound good
