I think i messed up my laptop.

I have an HP laptop i bought last year (2015)

Well i used a program called DBAN that wiped my hard drive completely.

So i prepared a Windows 10 ISO file on a USB drive. I made it boot able using Microsoft tool for Windows 10. But now i try to use the USB drive on my Laptop so that i can install Windows 10 and the USB ports are not working. It has 3 of them and none of them work i have tried every possible thing and i can't get the USB ports to work. What i am thinking is that DBAN deleted the drivers for the USB ports and now nothing will work. Can anyone help me? Is there a way to make the USB ports work again?

Go into the BIOS, and set the first boot device to be the USB ports.

What error are you getting?

Yeah i did that. That was one of the first things i did set the boot order to USB.

I know the ports are not working because the USB is not turning on (it has like an led inside of it)

i think i might just have to burn the iso on to a dvd right? ...

Hmm. The drivers are part of Windows, and shouldn't be needed to boot off a USB drive.

Can you take a picture of what happens when you try to boot?

If you have a DVD drive in the laptop, that should work too.

I never heard there is some tool to make windows 10 bootable on flash drive, only windows 7 but it may work for windows 8, no idea about windows 10

I think you should use rufus, I used rufus many times and never have any problem on booting

wiping hard driver won't make you fail to boot a flash drive, so never blame disk wiper tools
