I think my GPU is crashing my system

Hi guys,

Every once in a while my computer screen will flash on and off with a lot of colored lines running horizontally. I guess the computer is crashing then restarts. On the crash screen it says "Video-TDR-Failure". All my drivers are up to date from Geforce Experience. I'm a new builder so i'm not sure what to do. I tried reinstalling the current Nvidia drivers but it's still happening.

Any advice would be appreciated.

I think you are probably correct in that the GPU is causing the crash for two reasons.
The horizontal lines and the crash screen error.
I think there's a good chance the GPU is failing and I'd be looking at replacing it.

Mem: G-Skill Trident Z 32g 3600Mhz
GPU: Gigabyte Aorus 1080 Ti Extreme
PS: 850w

It looks like your gpu is failing. Any chance of an rma?

DDU all of the current drivers and try installing a version that is considerably older, thats been known to work for some people with almost the exact same problem.

If that doesnt work, the card itself may be faulty.

You could always use your CPU as your graphics and see what happens.
