Hi,
I’m having one of the strangest problems and I think my CPU has died for good this time, some context, I built this PC 2 year ago and only after 3-4 moths i thought the CPU died while I was playing Forza Horizon 4, mid race the computer hit me with a hardware blue screen and refused to boot after, so I did the only think I could think of and reseated absolutely everything with no success, after a lot of trouble shooting I decided to put my Pentium CPU I used to update the bios so I could use the i7 and to my surprise the PC booted, I used it with the Pentium for like a week and instead of returning the CPU and getting a new one I decided to put it back and try again after like a week. It booted just normal and has worked normally until a few days ago, in the 2 year I had it I cleaned it and reapplied the thermal paste like 3-4 time, but nothing recently. A few days ago a friend was over and decided to play Forza Horizon 5 and to my surprise the PC hit him with a blue screen he restarted and tried again and the blue screen again. We left it and went out and when I came back the PC wouldn’t boot at all, I tried reseating everything and nothing, no error on the motherboard light, just the VGA flashing for a second, I went digging for the Pentium and once in the PC it booted like normal, I waited a few days and tried with the i7 again but nothing, I think it’s just dead. I’m not blaming Forza for this and I have played it on this system with no problems both 4 and 5 I just think it’s a crazy coincidence. My theory is that it may have overheated and died, but if anyone has any ideas as to what else may be going on, I would appreciate your help.

CPU: i7 9700k
Motherboard : MSI h370 gaming pro carbon

Check the CPU pins carefully, if all looks perfect, the evidence suggests it's a dead CPU
Thank, I checked and there is indeed a bent pin, I will try to bend it back, but I’m also borrowing a motherboard from a friend to see it that could somehow be the problem. Although there is a bent pin the Pentium still works fine, so I honestly don’t have much hope.

Now it’s stuck is some kind of boot cycle, the fans start spinning for a few seconds and then the pc shuts off and start again all on it’s own

try with only single ram stick in each ram slots, that means test all slots with one stick at a time
tried every slot with every stick of ram, still turning on and off, i decided to try a different motherboard and the boot loop was gone, but it didn’t boot anymore, just black screen

The reason I asked you to try was in the hopes that it would show using less power allowed it to boot. If it is hanging in BIOS would suggest something more at play.
I wasn’t able to get back in BIOS as I was stuck in a boot loop for a while, which was surprisingly fixed when I changed the mobo, but now it won’t boot at all, fans are spinning, no error on the mobo ez debug but black screen. should I get a new PSU and see if that may be the problem?
