I think my motherboard has failed but I need some help knowing if its the MOBO or the GPU

While booting, the PC will not post and go past the bios as it will just black screen if a GPU is connected. It will also go between the CPU and GPU not working as displayed on the motherboard's debug lights (if the CPU is displayed as not working, it acts as if the CPU was not powered/connected because the front fans will not spin). I have tried connecting both my GTX 1060 3GB and GTX 950 and the GTX 1060 both display nothing and have its fans turned to 100%. However, booting without a GPU will work as if everything was fine. The power supply is fine as I've been using this pc for upwards of 2 years.

Now, I have unplugged and replugged everything in the PC but still nothing. I am very confused as to what is actually happening. If anyone can help me, that would be greatly appreciated.

When posting a thread of troubleshooting nature, it's customary to include your full system's specs like so:

Since when did the issue crop up? By the way you've stylized the post it seems like the issue came to be after a CPU upgrade. You may want to breadboard and inspect the CPU socket for any damaged or broken pins. If my assumptions are wrong, looking forward based on what you've given us, I'd say the culprit could be the PSU.

CPU: i3 6100
Motherboard: MSI H110M Gaming
RAM: HyperX 8GB (2x4GB)
HDD: 1TB Toshiba
GPU: GTX 1060 3GB Windforce OC Edition
PSU: Cougar CGR ST-500
Chassis: Cougar Brand (discontinued)
OS: Windows 10 Pro 64 bit

I have not installed a CPU into the computer since first building it.
