Question I thought of upgrading my RX550 4gb variant to a GTX 1060 6gb or an RX 570 8gb but I'm not sure if my motherboard can support it ?

In the manual it says that a gtx 1060 requires a PCI Express or PCI Express 3.0-compliant motherboard with one dual-width x16
graphics slot.
The model of my motherboard is Intel DQ67SW

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

We're going to need a little more information. Please list the specs to your build like so:
CPU:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Monitor:
Please include the age of the PSU apart from it's make and model.

As for your Intel motherboard, make sure that it's on the latest BIOS version. The slot is backwards compatible but I'm fearful that a non UEFI VBIOS can and will lead to a a black screen in spite of the OS booting to GUI.

Yea, the motherboard does support both the GPUs.

The PSU on the other hand, as you are planning on a new one, a 500w PSU would be enough to power the GPU (both that you mentioned above). But a 600w Is recommended for a stable system.

My recommendation is the Corsair CX550F as it is stable and cheap, (its upto you though, so ignore this if you already have one in mind)
