I just built a my new computer today and found that on powering it on, it imminently turns off. No beep and nothing shows up on the monitor. Ive already checked the tower for shorts and its not that. Even when I manually touch the power pins on the mobo together it doesn't stay on...
Im not sure what the problem is. Ive tried a few other things like unplugging the hard drive and DVD drive but still nothing. Im guessing bad psu or not enough power (its a 650w Corsiar, which is pretty big in my opinion). My setup isn't to extravagant, Asus P867 mobo, gtx 560 ti ds sc graphics, 8g G skills ram, one hardrive and dvd drive. There is 4 case fans but it was my understanding that those dont take much power.

You guys have any other suggestions? This was my first build, so i could of royally screwed something up but I dont know...

Gonna go cry now 🙁

Issue like this could come from a lot of places. Do everything in the link to be thorough, and if you get to the part were you need to disassemble and reassemble check you mobo for any discoloration or burn. I actaully fix my last start up issue just doing a reassemble and Ill never know what was off.

Also any more details on "on powering it on, it imminently turns off. No beep and nothing shows up on the monitor." Does CPU fan turn, Mobo power light?
