I turn on my monitor but it only displays an image 5 minutes later.

Hey guys! I've encountered a weird problem with my monitor.... So, as the title says, I turn it on, the button displays a light surrounding it, but the real image in the monitor only appears 5 minutes later. Have you got and idea on what could it be?

I hope it's not too confusing, and if it is, I'll glady explain myself in a better manner.

"a light surrounding it" What do you mean? And has it worked faster before? Some monitors are just slow to turn on like that.

You know when you press the on/off button of a computer? It usually appears some sort of light when yo do it, and in the case of the monitor, as soon as you click that button it goes blue around it. I'll post a picture.

Yeah it already worked faster, first it would take like 30 seconds, then 1 minute, 2 minutes and now 5.

Well there is really no need to turn your monitor off, when you turn your computer off, just leave the monitor on. It will go to a sort of sleep mode.

I don't really know what could be wrong with it though... I suppose there could be something wrong with the adapter. You could try another if you have one.
