Question I turned my pc on with the cooler plugged in but not mounted to the CPU, could this have damaged it

I am just wondering if this could have caused any damage, I only did it because I looked up online and it had said it was fine, I just want to know if it could have cause it to have problems with overheating not because my pc has been having errors and crashes sometimes, I only had it on for about 20 seconds

On any modern CPU no, they shut down before they can get damaged.

No, you should be fine...though you shouldn't be doing it as a novice. I say novice since you mount the cooler and then power up the system.
