I turned off a monitor with Phillips SmartImage. It won't turn back on

Hi,

I've got a Windows 10 desktop computer with a Philips 239CL display.
There's this "SmartImage" program for adjusting the monitor settings, and it also puts a "SmartImage" option at the bottom of the context menu when I right click on the desktop.

It has some options for dimming the display and changing brightness, and one option is called "Bright Light", if I remember correctly, and in it there are a few options for brightness percentages and also one saying "Off" - this turns off the display.

Yesterday evening I used this option while something was downloading and while I was away. The display turned off, the PC kept working. When I came back, I couldn't get the display back on again.. I unplugged it's power and plugged it back, thinking it would reset the setting, but it didn't.

I tried blindly navigating to the same options in the context menu to turn the setting off, with no success.

Does anyone have a suggestion about what I should do? Maybe a way to reset the display, along with this setting?

Boot into safe mode to run without smartimage. Make your needed changes there.

The other option is use the smartimage button on your monitor?

Problem solved.

I unplugged the power cable from the monitor instead if from the socket, and it turned on when I plugged it back in.
