I type a letter and I get another symbol

I am typing certain letters and I am getting other symbols. e,g. I hit i and I get a 0 and so on.

You should go to Start > Control Panel > System and Security > Action Center > Troubleshooting > Hardware and Sound > Hardware and Devices. Follow those steps and that should detect the issue and fix it.

if your on a laptop it may be a sign that the keyboard has a broken trace. on a desktop make sure it sees the right keyboard and your using the right language in windows. on a laptop for testing or desktop swap the keyboard out or use a desktop keyboard...if the error stops it the keyboard. most laptop keyboards are 20-30 online and take 15 min to replace if the unit out of warranty.

I plug in the pc keyboard to the laptop and it works but laptop keyboard is only working on the left handside.
