[SOLVED] i updated my nvidia gpu and my pc says it says it is a unknown device

so i updated my gpu (gtx 960) and was playing and out of the blue my pc crashed i got it back on and i tried to play a game and noticed my frames were one so i checked my cpu in device manager and it just dissapeared then i realised it says it as a unknown device so what do i do? can anyone help thanks in advance!

try running DDU and remove all traces of old GPU drivers.
then reinstall latest driver package from Nvidia.

if no change, GPU may have bit the dust.
