I upgraded BH6 to PIII-850 it worked, 1 question!

I while back I posted about upgrading my beefed up BH6 system to a PIII-850, I just wanted to let you guys know it worked great.

I bought a retail box slot-1 PIII-850 Coppermine 100MHZ BUS, for my BH6, pulled out my PII-450, slapped in the new chip, made the change in the BIOS and everthing is running great. Now my BH6 is maxed out, any higher CPU, and I am afraid I will have to get a new motherboard.

Now my question is this :

Is there anyway to get my PII-450 chip working on my older ABIT LX6 motherboard? My LX6 setup is running a PII-300, with 128MB PC100 RAM. I would love to drop in the PII-450 instead of letting it ROT in my bedroom closet.

I wish I could do that with my BX board (Asus P2B). I sure hope Asus will release a BIOS that supports slot1 P3-850 (100Mhz FSB).

I'm sorry, but the LX6 did not support 100MHz FSB. You will not be able to get your 450 to run faster than about 375 on it.
