I upgraded my 1TB 7200 RPM hard drive, to a 1TB solid state drive and my computer boots up in less than 10 seconds.

With my old hard drive, booting into Windows 10 took about 1 minute and 30 seconds.

Incredible!!!

Solution
Do you think that HDD's will eventually be phased out and replaced with solid states?
Eventually, yes.

Long long ago, PC's had no hard drive. They ran directly off floppy disks.
Enter the HDD, and floppies went away. It did take quite a while, though. HDD's were quite expensive.
I remember spending near $200 on a 125 megabyte drive.
Currently, 125MB will hold 3 or 4 pics from my camera.

DVD's took over from CD's.

Solid state storage will eventually take over from spinning drives. Eventually.
It is becoming increasingly easy to buy a system, especially a laptop, that is SSD only.
