i heard a pop. i used the correct DC 9V adapter and it worked...briefly. froze up and now it won't turn on.
Wondering if it's serviceable or if the cost would outweigh the $150 i paid for it. It's a Boss Micro BR digital recorder, quite a nice device when it was working. i was in a rush and used the wrong adapter (have so many lying around).
Anyone with experience or insight can offer the best choice? (i don't have a multimeter or much comprehension of circuitry apart from a brief electronics course in high school eons ago)
thanks!

thanks. so i guess replacing the DC in wouldn't do anything, there's probably more stuff that are fried on the board? if it's a simple fix, i might be able to go in and replace a component. but if it's too complex, then maybe the trashcan is best. sniff, it was a great recorder!
