[SOLVED] I used perfume to clean i3 10100f

I used perfume to clean i3 10100f Some of my friends told me to get a paper towel and put a bit of water and wipe the pads that sounds a bit stupid, but i did it what should i do? i still got 12 days till i get the motherboard

Why are you cleaning it without a motherboard to mount it in? Just wait, to prevent possibly damaging the CPU in the meantime.

Also, why perfume? While it may have a lot of alcohol in it, it has other stuff as well.

I bought the cpu secondhand and it had some thermal paste on the pads and all i had with alcohol in it was a perfume so i gaved it a try

Understood. I recommend waiting until you have your motherboard before doing anything else to it. Between now and then, get some proper alcohol to clean before mounting.

so like buy an 90% proper alcohol and when i get the motherboard wipe the pads with the alcohol wait till the cpu it's dry and try it? with was should i wipe the cpu some toiled towel works?

Yes. Should be fine. Coffee filters leave less paper residue and make good cleaning material. Just something to consider.

alright, but like how do i know that the perfume is gonna by the smell?? sorry for these questions but i'm really worried as it is my first build

When you clean with the proper alcohol, the smell and any residue should be removed.
