[SOLVED] I usually hit around 80-120 fps but will I see an improvement if I use freesync 144hz?

I have a 60 hz monitor currently while running 80-120 fps. My question is that can I still see use a higher hz monitor using freesync even if I don't hit something like 144 hz?

yes.
i have a 144hz monitor, and i usually lower my graphics so i get 90-110fps.
at that point its still smooth enough so that in a fast pace game you probably wont notice.

so you can use it and there are no black artifacts? Because im thinking that freesync will count the screen tearing if my fps is lower than 144

Freesync ELIMINATES screen tearing, not causes it.
there would be 0 artifacts.
