Unfortunately the beta test is over and there isn't another planned since
the game is due to be released soon. FWIW, my son played the beta
extensively and he is hooked. There are an almost endless list of possible
quests and each one can be done solo, in a guild, or in a hastily assembled
group. With a long list of available skills for each character class,
character development is a major part of GW.
Once you form a party and embark upon a quest that quest belongs to your
group alone. No one can mess with your party or even see what your party is
doing. Until you return to town your quest is in your own private world.
If you want to be a badass there is an arena where characters or whole
parties can fight each other, totally apart from the rest of the world. The
server matches your char/party against others of similar level so you never
have to worry about being horribly outclassed.
Unlike other MMORPGs what you actually do with your char is the only way to
advance. The amount of time you spend playing has no effect so you won't
find folks standing around town for countless hours doing nothing.

It sounds good. I still think it's WoW first though. If WoW disapoints
then I'll certainly take a closer look at this.

Thanks.
