The Corsair VS line are OK for a low end systems.
For the i7 9700k + rtx 3070 combo you need something in the line of a Corsair RM /HX/ TX series.
Which motherboard do you have?

I think you will need a stronger PSU for an RTX 3070. The Ampere cards seem to be hard on PSUs and the one you have isn't a good one.

What is the reason for wanting to change motherboard? I don't really see the benefit if the one you have is working ok.

Which motherboard do you have?
Asus Intel PRIME B360M-A s1151
this is it and which psu would you recommend from the rm/hx/tx series
Corsair rm650 would this be enough?
