I wanna check if this is a "top notch" Gaming desktop

I'm getting "Hush" (http://www.hardwiredpc.com.au/product/3-hush/) as its small and easy to move around, but I wanna make sure the cooling system is up to scratch.

That would be a high-end PC. You should look at a better PSU though. The 290x requires a minimum of a 600w PSU with 33 amps on the +12v rail. While the CX500m's +12v rail meets the amperage requirements as it has 38 amps, the wattage falls short. http://forum-en.msi.com/faq/article/printer/power-requirements-for-graphics-cards

Would a Corsair CX-750M Modular 750 Watt 80 Plus Bronze work?

yea the 750w would be fine. and might want to consider adding an extra hard disc for storage of games and what ever you might need. and also your cpu might thank you a lil bit more if you got the h60 if you;re gunna have them doing some OCing. and also bumping up the mobo to the z87-pro so that they might do some proper ocing. that's if your budget allows for those tweeks. and if you wana save some money and are looking to just mainly game you can grab the i5 4670k instead and be more than satisfied with preformance. the difference between the i5 and i7 for gaming is pritty much nonexistent.
