The SeaSonic FOCUS is only $50 if that mail in rebate comes through, a great price for such a good PSU. Your power supply isn't an area you want to cut corners.

PS: too lazy to put it on pc part picker

Cpu: ryzen 7 1700

Gpu: RTX 2060

Ram: XPG gammix d10 2x8 3000mhz

Psu: Evga 500w BR

Storage: Adata Su655 480gb

Case: MasterBox Q300L

Mobo: Gigabyte b450m ds3h

Ps: I did use adata storage here because its a bit cheaper trying to fit the rtx 2060 card but for the 1660ti build I am gonna use a crucial MX500

This is not a bad build at all. But keep in mind, super fast RAM will not yield much performance difference. Even with video editing. Also, I am big advocate for finding used video cards, especially from reputable dealers. It can give huge performance benefits from similar prices.

Unfortuanetly I cant use the mail in rebate so it is 75$ at last if it was 50$ then you wont see me here

Well, $75 is still not a bad price. I don't think you could get a PSU nearly as good for much less.

But keep in mind, super fast RAM will not yield much performance difference. Even with video editing.

I don't know, doesn't Ryzen really like fast RAM? And what I've read is that 2933/3000mhz is the sweet spot, anything over that is diminishing returns for performance but 3000 helps considerably compared to anything less.

If you're ok with buying some used stuff, it will knock the price back 100-200$. Look on eBay, Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, and Offerup. Also check this subreddit out for some killer deals on new stuff: https://www.reddit.com/r/buildapcsales/

I know used parts will save me alot of money but the thing is I wont be able to buy the parts until 3 weeks so if I find a good deal it will most likely be taken by that time

Wint this build have a btter performance than the first build I linked?

Since I am changing to a 2060

No.
A 9th generation i5 9400f costs around the price or slightly less than the price of a 2600x and the 9400f only has 6 threads compared to the 12 threads of the ryzen 5 2600x.
The 2600x is significantly faster in editing compared to the 9400f. The 9400f is barily faster in gaming in some titles and falls short of the 2600x in some titles. The 2600x has much smoother frame delivery and feels smoother with higher 1% lows.
The 9400f does not work in a b450 board. B450 is for amd cpus lol. You will want a b365 or z390 board for out of the box support for a 9400f.

A 2600x is a fair bit faster than a 1700 in games but the 1700 has 2 more cores and 4 more threads that makes it excel in editing. Which is better depends on your priorities. 2600 is a better gpu and supports rtx

So shouldI get a 1700 or a 2600x?

my editing wont be something heavy Just normal editing without like animations or something crazy

cuts, music, simple animations not cartoon things, green screen stuff something like that like editing shouldnt take more than 2 hours a day
