So I'm on a budget and have finally decided on a cheap PC that I'm going to make, but I'm not too sure how good it will be...

Core i7-950@3.06Ghz
Radeon HD4890 w/ custom drivers
450W PSU
ASUS MoBo (I don't really care too much about this, and will most likely pick one of the cheapest on eBay when I buy the parts)
8gb ddr3 RAM
1TB HDD

This all comes to just over £100 and I don't really want it to be too much more, but I'm open to suggestions on this high-end 2009~ PC!

Solution
For typical desktop use, it'll work fine but if you intend on doing some modern Gaming or heavier workstation tasks this build is going to struggle. The Radeon HD4890 is a very old and weak GPU, even the modern series cheapest GT 1030 shows it up. As for the CPU, it should keep up with your average game to some extent but again, it's very old and it'll definitely show. But you haven't listed your use for the PC so not much else to say. I'd personally advise trying to save up more for a modern system rocking something like a Ryzen 3 2200G (Vega Graphics) or even a cheap Dell/Lenovo/etc. pre-built for cheap (preferably 3rd generation i5 or newer) and chuck in a Graphics card if you want it to be gaming capable. Hope this helps! :)
