I am new to pc building, so I do not want to get into overclocking for a while.

Which intel coffee lake chip will suit my needs in cpu extensive games and not bottleneck the 1070?

Looking for the CHEAPEST option that meets my above requirements.

Thanks :)

Solution
That's about the cheapest worthwhile configuration you can get into Coffee Lake for.

There are slightly less expensive i3 options, but honestly, the majority of the cost right now involves the fact that no budget series chipsets have been released yet for Coffee lake and memory is at a historical high across the board. Unless you already have some usable DDR4 memory, this is as cheap as it realistically gets if you don't want to unbalance things with that GTX 1070, or maybe at all, period.

Solution
Technically, this is less expensive and COULD be used, but it WILL see some bottleneck issues depending on settings and what resolution you are gaming at. Plus, since there is no turbo feature on this i3, and no additional threads, the problem will compounded. But it WOULD get you going with that GPU card at least. The above setup, while not a top shelf configuration, would be 100x better than what this would give you. Also, seems like if you can afford a 500 dollar card, you might really want to stick to something more realistic than this.
