Sup guys.

Basically with the games that i like to play such as Blade and Soul, Overwatch, Battlefield, GTA V etc i dont get the amount of fps for gonna try to make this quick,.
me. With some games that i play i usually always hope my computer can run it before trying it. Very often when im playing games i can only run at like 40 fps. It just makes me sad cause i see every streamer that can stream the games they play with smooth frames and i cant even run smooth frames with a game booster 🙁 let alone trying to stream. i want to be able to play on high-ultra settings with smooth frames casually.

Processor: AMD FX 4300 Quad core processor 3.80GHz
GPU: AMD Radeon R9 200 Series
Generic Monitor

What should i upgrade to get better frames in games? Because i cant tell which part of my pc is holding me back.

Solution
From a hardware PoV:
Your R9 200 series is pretty decent. If you have a 270 not as good as a 290, but serviceable nonetheless.
The FX4300 isn't fantastic and where you'll likely see the most improvement.
To confirm this get a program to monitor cpu and gpu activity (AMD drivers come with . . . . something that does this. Crimson?) whichever one maxes out is your problem.

Your options are:
- overclocking the hell out of the fx4300, which is able to run a fair bit faster than at 3.80. This involves buying a proper cooler, learning to overclock and signing up for the risk of blowing up your cpu. (I've seen comments that the 4300 isn't the easiest to OC, although I have no personal experience)
- buying a new motherboard+cpu. Something i5...

- buying a new motherboard+cpu. Something i5 or higher, broadwell or later. If that streaming you mentioned is a big part of your activities you might consider a Xeon E3-1231v3 or i7, the extra cores help.

Option 2 is more expensive than option 1, but safer.

Also, I'm assuming 8 gig of RAM or more. If you have less, that might be an issue.

Software:
Just make sure nothing else is running. No browser on the background, kill any processes running that don't need to. Defragment, virus scan, malware scan (beforehand) and that sort of thing to make sure nothing weird is installed.
