Hello,

I am currently back home for the summer and im using my laptop hooked up to my dads 27 inch screen. The problem is I usually play on 24 inch and that is what ive grown used to, I really hate 27 inch monitors. Anyway can i have black bars appear on the sides of my screen in order to make it resemble 24 inch? its also a 1080p monitor so its really grainy and I hate that too.

I mainly want to do this for World of warcraft but i cant find anything in the settings

Thanks!

Gpu: laptop 3050 if that matters

Monitor is an acer, I checked all the monitor settings on the actual monitor and you cant change the aspect

There is, but it's not really an ideal solution. If the external monitor is controlled by the NVIDIA GPU, then you should be able to set this option in NVIDIA's control panel:

Then you have to find a resolution that closely matches a 24 inch monitor of the same pixel density as the one you're using. Which for a 27" 1080p monitor is about 1680x1050.

If the external monitor is controlled by the integrated GPU, then there should be a similar option to do no scaling in that control panel.
