The Intel platform will have much better upgrade paths. And the Hyper Threaded (4 threads) dual core i3-4130 is a tier 2 gaming processor. Actually as good or better than the 6 core FX-6300 at gaming: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gaming-cpu-review-overclock,3106-5.html
I have built with both CPUs over the years (the i3 recently), and found that the i3 to be an excellent gaming CPU.

Solution

The build will get the job done. As I said, the i3 will be as good (or better) than the FX-6300 for gaming. But the Intel platform will lend itself better for any future CPU upgrades you may want to do. Personally, I would make some changes...
I don't like the case for 2 reasons. 1) The top mount PSU is not a good design for a builder. Makes the case top heavy and does not lend itself to good cable management. 2) The case is narrow. Not much room behind the MB tray for cable management.
If you buy 8 GB memory, buy it in MATCHED pairs of 4 GB each. If you go with a single stick, you will not be able to use dual channel mode. That will result in as much as a 10% performance drop. And finding an exact match to the single stick later may be difficult to do. Dual channel memory systems are very picky about the sticks matching identically. That is why dual channel memory is always sold in pairs.
