It can, the latest nvidia driver that I downloaded yesterday was just to improve certain games. Depending on how old your drivers are it could make a large difference. (correct me if I'm wrong but when I did the update I got better performance)

have you considered upgrading your os to win 8.1? I have heard that in bf4 that can give additional fps, I also found win 8.1 pro really CHEAP
