i have 2 amps, each with their own speakers.i want to be able to play from my computer( ie youtube) the music with one amp, but when i need more louder i want to be able to also turn on the 2nd amp (which is bigger ) and play both amps at the same time same music making it louder . can it be done and how please.

Ok. I plug that into computer . But the
Audio cable has a red and a white. Which normallt plug into one amp. How do the red and the white fit into both amps if both are needed to go to one amp ?

.i already have a splitter like that but with a white and red male at the other end. But both are needed to go to the 1st amp. So how can i conect to the second?

3.5mm jack to phono from laptop to a free INPUT on amp 1. Then, if the same amp has a record OUT, then run an ordinary Male to Male phono lead from that, to a free aux IN on amp 2. Then on amp 1, Switch record selector to the INPUT you have your laptop connected to. Then, on amp 2, select the input you have plugged it into. Adjust volumes accordingly. (OR, just run two phono's from record out, to record in on both amps - if you have the luxury of having two identical amps) BUT remember, just as jsmithepa said, the stereo phasing may be slightly out. But i run a similar setup with my two Technics SUV-670's and i have not had a problem.
Good luck!
