What are you planning to do which requires that amount of VRAM? This particular stipulation would narrow the choice down to:

GTX 1070 (ti), GTX 1080 (ti), Titan X/Z, RTX 2070, RTX 2080 (ti),

RX 470/570 (8GB), RX 480/580 (8GB), Vega 56/64, Radeon VII.

EDIT: after remixislandmusic's post below it seems the RX 590 was missed out.

I am getting that Alienware monitor that’s 24.5” 1ms at 240htz. So I need to be able to accommodate for freesync which is AMD so I need something that can utilize this, what do you recommend?

Hey everyone I am looking to slap in a 8gb+ graphics card into my pc but have no clue what works with my pc and what would be the best bang for my buck so to speak. I am not looking to spend a lot so out of a $$$ spectrum I and looking to spend $ out of $$$. Thanks! Here is my pc: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B079HX9F6W/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_2?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1 If you guys could link me to things on amazon that would be great!!!
I'd recommend getting a RX 590 but it's really the best AMD option you have right now. AMD is lacking in horsepower at the moment.

What resolution is the monitor? To push those framerates even at 1080p (game dependent, of course) would only leave an RTX 2080 ti as the only viable option to cover as many different gaming scenarios.

The value options would be RX 580/590 and GTX 1660 ti (which doesn't meet your VRAM stipulation), but those won't be pushing the sort of frames for a monitor refresh rate of 240Hz.

If you are looking for 240hz, even at 1080p you will need some serious hardware to run it, and you may be looking at over $1000 for a card. Here is a 16gb Radeon 7, a very powerful AMD gaming card based on 7nm for $700. This card and even a 2080ti will even struggle to run 240hz in modern games.

This would be a good option. Probably your best one but you won't be pushing 240 fps in AAA games.
