I want to build my first gaming pc...I have picked the right thinks to put incide but I dont have the money all gathered up...so I thought I should start buying one piece at a time...BUT HERE IS THE QUESTION how can I be sure 100% tha my components are ok when they arive... if for example I buy my cpu 2 months before I gather all the pieces... and by the time I start building I find out the the cpu (or something else) doesn't work... how can I know if it was already broken by the time it arrived?! How can I ask for a new one if it was already "broken"?!

Solution
Parts will have a warranty.
A Intel I5-8400 cpu will have a 3 year warranty from Intel.
Ram is usually lifetime.

That said, prices tend to go lower as new tech is introduced.
Items such as cases and power supplies might be ok to buy early when on sale.

It might be reasonable to buy a I5-8400 processor, for example, and plan to use integrated HD630 graphics for a while until you can afford a discrete graphics card.
You don't, which is why it's always best to buy all your parts at once. That way you know if one of the components are DOA and need to be returned. Also, new parts come out and things change. Put the money in a savings or PayPal account until you have enough.

Yes I forgot about manufacturer's warranty. Usually a lengthier process than returning to the retailer within 30-days after purchase, and often have to pay for shipping.
