I want to buy a 400-500GB SSD Hard drive for ASUS Crosshair IV motherboard? Which drive has best performance and low headaches

I keep reading reviews where there is trouble with the Asus and Samsung 840 series working well together. I looked at Intel 500G drives and they were off the hook expensive. (Maybe I have that wrong, but I have been looking.) I really don't know too much about the other brands. So, what do you think is the best SSD hard drive around 500GB for an Asus Crosshair IV mother board?

I did a quick Google search: Google Search Results
and most of the problems seem to be from 2012. It is not just Samsung 840's having problems but drives like OCZ also having problems.

I think that Samsung 840 Evo is your best choice!
