are you willing to buy used computers? i usually reccomend Thinkpad's . staples sells refurbished thinkpad t420's for around 300 bucks, that is a solid price and it is a reliable good quality laptop, 4gb ram is probably not enough so i would recommend upgrading to 8gb.
