I want to buy the full version of Fraps but first want to try the free version but I cant figure out how to start recording. I

I want to purchase the full version of fraps recording software, But I wanted to use the free version first to make sure it runs smooth and good on my computer but I cant get it to record. Any help?

I also have a Widows 8 if that makes a difference

Open Fraps, go to the movies tab, set a hotkey you want to start and stop recording, F9 I believe is default. You can also change the folder to where the files are saved.
