I live one block from my office building where I work and there isn't much in the way of walls between the buildings. I am about a quarter mile away from work and I live on the first floor, work is on the 5th floor. I have an Asus AC routed right now but want my signal to extend to work to avoid any loss of wifi at work. Any recommendations on hardware to do this?

You will need powerful directionals on both ends.

Think of it like this....
At your home, you have a very large man, with a very loud bullhorn. You can hear him 1/4 mile away.
At work, you have a small timid 6 year old. You can hear her in the next building over, maybe.
Not gonna work for any conversation.

WiFi is a two way discussion. Transmit and receive at both ends.
Oh, I see. Well, again, I think you'd need directional antennas if you want to go that far, unless you can run a cable part of the way somehow. Or maybe some string of repeaters or something, but that seems even more impractical.

Even if you could just boost your home wifi signal high enough to reach your office, your phone's signal wouldn't be strong enough make it back.

I think something like a VPN could let you access your home network from work, but I don't know much about that. And I think that would depend on your office's network settings to determine if that's even possible.
