I read that you should use a tool from the mfg. but I can not find anything on their web site. right click in Ms brings up quick format & format which I usually use.
I personally always use Secure Erase from the Parted Magic boot disk to erase an SSD. A secure erase will do a sort of factory reset and make sure that the drive knows that all memory locations are unused. Plus it takes about 20 seconds.
